Serdal Korkut Avcı is an original thought leader who manages industrial design on a global scale, explores artificial intelligence as a design discussion partner, and brings this discovery to both the corporate world and academia.
Having spent decades of his 30+ year career as Executive Director of Industrial Design at Beko/Arçelik, Avcı managed a design organization operating across more than 17 brands and 140 countries at an international level. During this time, he built teams that won over 200 international design awards and constructed one of Europe's leading corporate design structures.
Today, redefining the role of artificial intelligence in design processes, Avcı positions AI not as a tool that replaces creativity, but as a partner that deepens thinking and broadens discussion. This perspective forms the essence of his talk "Artificial Intelligence: A Design Discussion Partner," which he has brought to stages at platforms such as AWS Summit Dubai, FDI 2025, and Alive '25.
Integrating artificial intelligence with design education through the IDExAI course at Özyeğin University, where he serves as a visiting lecturer and process consultant, Avcı shares his vision that this new communication loop will grow and support the entire process as a learning structure in training future-ready designers.
He has been a member of the iF Design Award jury since 2016, most recently participating in the Final Jury held in Hamburg in 2026. He continuously updates his theoretical foundation with business strategy and data analytics certificates from MIT, Harvard Business School, and the University of Cambridge.

Prof. Dr. Göknur AKÇADAĞ graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, Department of History, and completed her master's and doctoral studies in the same field. She worked at İnönü University and the Department of Human and Social Sciences at Yıldız Technical University. She conducted postdoctoral research as a visiting faculty member at METU (2003) and at the State University of New York – Binghamton University, Fernand Braudel Center (2007–2008).
Between 2011 and 2018, she served as Head of the R&D, Projects and External Relations Department at the General Directorate on the Status of Women, Ministry of Family and Social Services. She served as Country Representative and National Focal Point for the Council of Europe Gender Equality Commission (2011–2018), and as Vice Chair of the Gender Equality Commission of the UNESCO Turkey National Commission. She was selected as one of seventy women worldwide as a Global Champion on the UN Women – Women's Economic Empowerment Platform (2016). She was accepted into the International Leadership Visitor Program in the field of "Combating Domestic Violence, Gender Equality" (USA). She is a member of the Darüşşafaka High Advisory Board and a contributor to the Turkish Journal (New York).
Since 2018, she has been working at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, where she serves as Head of the History Department and Director of the Women's and Family Studies Research Center. Prof. Akçadağ has organized and led numerous projects and events in the field of women's studies, including a project titled "Equal Opportunities: Women's Empowerment Training Program for Small Businesses," supported by the EU Civil Thinking Program (2025). With a multidisciplinary approach, Prof. Akçadağ focuses on combining her academic expertise with popular history storytelling and narrative.

M. Tarık Hotamışlıgil is a traveler, writer, photographer, and creator who, while pursuing a career as a financial advisor, has chosen throughout his life to observe people, cities, cultures, and stories.
Born in Istanbul, Hotamışlıgil lived in various cities across Turkey during his childhood and youth due to his father's civil service postings. Each new city was not merely a change of address, but an opportunity to get to know people, ways of life, and cultural diversity. After completing his education in Ankara, he returned to Istanbul and has been working as a financial advisor since 1981.
Yet what defines him is not only his profession, but the way he understands and tells life.
Over the years, he has traveled to different parts of the world, observing, photographing, and writing about people's everyday lives. He sees his travels not merely as a tourist experience, but as a way of understanding different societies, cultures, and human stories.
Alongside writing and photography, woodworking has also become an important part of his life. He sees wood not merely as a material, but as a form of expression representing patience, labor, production, and creativity. He regards each handcrafted work as a quiet dialogue between a person and themselves.
Also actively involved in social solidarity and volunteer work, Hotamışlıgil was among those who supported the Örnekevler Life Village project established in Hatay after the earthquake. He contributed to the formation of the "Butterfly Effect" exhibition, which focuses on the healing and unifying power of art, and has taken on active responsibility in social responsibility and solidarity projects.
Continuing to think and create on human relationships, different cultures, belonging, happiness, tolerance, and the culture of living together, Hotamışlıgil believes that understanding, empathy, and unconditional sharing in every relationship — from the individual to the family, from the family to society — form the foundation of a happier, more productive, and more creative life.

Hikmet Tanrıverdi is a business leader who has founded, grown, and transformed companies in textiles, foreign trade, e-export, and technology, with over 35 years of entrepreneurship and management experience. He has played an active role in Turkey's production, export, and trade ecosystem for many years, experiencing the changing dynamics of the business world both on the ground and at the management level.
Tanrıverdi began his business career in 1979 by founding his first company, İnci Fermuar, and in the 2000s established Tanrıverdi Investment Holding, which brought together 18 companies. As the founder and chairman of GİSAD Foreign Trade — the first company in Turkey to surpass the $1 billion export threshold — he took pioneering roles in opening Turkish brands to international markets, and participated in the IPO processes of TGS A.Ş. and Etiler Marmaris.
In 2016, Tanrıverdi founded one of Turkey's first e-export companies, helping approximately 70 brands enter international markets. In addition to his active role in the business world, he has held important positions in industry and civil society organizations. He served as President of the Istanbul Ready-to-Wear Exporters' Association (İHKİB) from 2008 to 2018, President of the Malatya Civil Society Organizations Union (MASTÖB) from 2006 to 2008, and as Founding President of the Merter Industrialists and Businessmen's Association and the Garment Sub-Industrialists' Association. He served as a Board Member of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and currently continues his work as an ITO Assembly Member, Vice Chairman of the Board of DIŞYÖNDER, and Founding Vice Chairman of the Board of MİAD.
Having fully focused on artificial intelligence for the past three years, Hikmet Tanrıverdi conducts training, consulting, and application development work on companies' digital transformation processes, AI integration, and productivity improvement. Approaching art as a powerful tool for social transformation, Birnur Temel Birtane is a multidisciplinary creative leader whose practice is shaped by agriculture, craft, cultural heritage, and social impact.
After studying sculpture and art history at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Birtane served as Artist Program Manager and Curator on the curatorial team of Istanbul Modern Art Museum between 2009 and 2015, taking an active role in international exhibitions and publication projects.
Founded in 2017, MILKist stands out as a pioneering platform that brings together art and social design. Through collaborations with the United Nations, the Ministry of National Education, and civil society organizations, it has developed natural ink workshops and creative programs focused on psychosocial support for children, women, and vulnerable groups living in different cities across Türkiye, especially in rural areas.
Her work, developed through natural pigments derived from local soil and agricultural waste, has evolved into a strong model centered on social benefit and sustainability through production partnerships with women farmers. This body of work came to life in the book Bir Çiftçinin Renkleri – Doğal Mürekkep.
As an important extension of her work at the intersection of women’s labor, cultural heritage, and climate vulnerability, she served as producer of the film "Olive"- Zeytin, brought to life in collaboration with UN Women Türkiye, Koç University, and UNESCO. The film presents a powerful narrative that makes the production processes, harvest traditions, and struggles of small-scale women farmers in the face of the climate crisis visible.
Bringing the same approach to exhibitions, education, and field projects, Birtane develops curatorial work, social impact initiatives, and healing-focused creative programs that highlight the production and stories of women farmers.

Believing in the importance of brands not just being visible but building meaningful connections in the world of communication, Hisar Uyar is a communication leader and entrepreneur working in the fields of strategy, creativity, digital culture, and social impact.
Ranking among Turkey's top 100 students in both high school and university entrance exams, Uyar graduated from Istanbul Boys' High School and then from Boğaziçi University's Business Administration Department. Having been interested in entrepreneurship, communication, and business development since his university years, Uyar began his professional career at Turkcell Marketing Communications and Eczacıbaşı Group Corporate Communications teams.
With Ahtapot Advertising Agency, which he founded in 2014, he launched his own entrepreneurial journey in the fields of communication, content, and digital strategy. Today, Ahtapot continues to operate as one of Turkey's leading creative communication agencies, serving leading brands, institutions, and civil society organizations from various sectors. With its sub-agency AI – TAPOT, Ahtapot is also one of the agencies that produces the fastest solutions to the need for an artificial intelligence agency.
Turning to the field of social entrepreneurship with a social impact campaign he launched while a student at Boğaziçi University, Uyar became one of the contributors to the development of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey with the "sosyalgirişim.com" platform he founded in 2008. Having provided communication support to many civil society organizations for many years and taking an active role in projects focused on social benefit, Uyar continues to contribute to building strong bridges between the business world and social impact. Continuing his entrepreneurial journey in different fields, Uyar is also among the founding partners of the "mirlers.com" platform, which enables quick and easy ordering of logo-branded textile products, and serves as its marketing director.
Attaching great importance to contributing to the development of the advertising industry, Uyar actively serves on the Board of Directors of the Advertising Creators Association for this purpose. His "No to Free Pitches" campaign, launched in 2025 to draw attention to the value of creative labor and which resonated widely across the industry, was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the 20th MediaCat Felis Awards and the Bumerang Awards organized by the İzmir Advertisers Association.
Sharing his experience in next-generation communication, brand communities, social entrepreneurship, and creative leadership, Hisar Uyar continues to think and produce on how brands can build stronger, more sincere, and more meaningful relationships not only with consumers but also with society.

With her children's books published by Çınar Yayınları — Bodrum'daki Acayip Günlerim, Ormanın Hazineleri, and Mektubun Peşinde — she built a strong connection with young readers, and adapted Ormanın Hazineleri for the theater stage, transforming story into experience.
Through her projects including the Sevgili Bodrum digital publication, Bodrum Children's Festival, and Inspera Children's Theatre, she has created not only content but also cultural communities and sustainable experience spaces.
